Website Case Study: Evans Head Bowling Club
WEBSITE CASE STUDY
EVANS HEAD BOWLING CLUB
It was late in 1931 when a few fellow enthusiasts, mainly from Evans Head, decided to form the bowling club which has grown from a BYO rough sawn timber building to the current Club today that caters for locals and the thousands of visitors that visit Evans Head each year. Today the Evans Head Bowlo as it's affectionately known is a central meeting place for locals and visitors alike.
THE BRIEF
The Evans Heading Bowling Club website was in need of an overhaul. Their existing website was clunky, the platform it had been built on didn't allow the team to perform any content updates, and given the Club is located in a tourist town it did not represent the Club in a way that was appealing to visitors to come and check out during their stay.
THE SOLUTION
We needed to start from scratch with the development of the Club’s new site. We have built a state of the art website solution securely hosted by Amazon which features an animated local weather widget in the header and online booking app for their cabin accommodation.
We’ve added life and vibrancy to the website keeping in line with their style guide and incorporated imagery that complements the Club’s colour scheme. We incorporated the restaurant menu using the menu widget, one of the many functionality widgets included on the platform (no need to download clunky PDFs anymore to view a menu), as well as a quick click icon through to Google Maps.
