Situated in the Sunshine Coast hinterland Maleny is a charming historic township with a thriving creative community.

For the past 100 years, the Maleny Hotel has grown and changed with the Maleny community. The hotel was the community’s meeting place for loggers, bullock drivers and farmers and their families to swap stories, debate local politics, conduct business, or simply share a drink, a meal and take time out from the trials and tribulations that belonged to living the life of a Maleny pioneer.

Even with all the changes and growth during the years the Maleny Hotel has always strived to maintain its role and place within the community.

THE BRIEF

The previous Maleny Hotel website was built using an obsolete application - Adobe Muse - and was lacking on many fronts. Design and layout was clunky, it wasn't in any way responsive and didn't have a version in any form to display on anything but a desktop. Given that more searches are carried out on mobile devices than on desktops, the old Maleny Hotel website was probably discouraging people rather than encouraging them to visit.

THE SOLUTION

Axis IQ has built an appealing and professionally presented, responsive website that is animated and informative incorporating Google Maps and an Instagram feed on the home page as well as our menu widget to help with SEO (Search Engine Optimisation). We’ve included a link to the hotel's online accommodation booking app.

We worked with a professional photographer to update imagery that better reflects the hotel today - family friendly atmosphere, spacious beer garden,  of the hotel and with our secure, state of the art cloud solution the website can take the hotel into the future.
