THE BRIEF

Our main objective for YGCC's new site was to improve the information architecture and User Experience (UX) design. Their existing website's information was difficult to find and lacked a clear pathway, so this was going to be the most crucial part of the rebuild. The look and feel were already quite modern, but we decided to give it a refresh by changing the colour scheme to a more contemporary palette... we even gave the logo a little zhuzhing using a modern typeface! The Club is an award-winning wedding venue, has a championship golf course and a new virtual golf simulator, so we also needed to highlight these in an eye-catching and cohesive way.

THE SOLUTION

This site was full of content! First and foremost, like we do for any site, we created a detailed sitemap. This provided YGCC with a snapshot of how the site will be structured and for us (as the name suggests), a 'map' to build from. The new secure site was constructed with a multi-nested main menu always available to the user, which was key to building a successful user experience. We utilised large imagery and parallax scrolling to highlight the Club's most important offerings and changed the overall design so it would feel modern and revitalised, incorporating new colours that complimented each other as well as the picturesque location of the Club.

THE RESULT

A website that's functional, easy to navigate and nice to look at... 3 simple attributes that make a huge impact for any business... AND make for one very happy client!
